Job summary

Marks & Spencer is recruiting a commercially astute project professional to lead feasibility assessments for new stores, relocations and extensions. You will manage multi-stage development programmes, coordinate consultants and ensure robust, deliverable designs within capital parameters.

You will review AFLs and development obligations, drive cost planning, risk registers and governance submissions, and present clear recommendations to support informed business decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in pre-construction, development management or construction consultancy.
• Knowledge of feasibility, planning, development and delivery processes.
• Ability to develop and manage cost plans and risk registers.
• Degree in Construction, Property, Surveying, Architecture, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical and commercial feasibility assessments for stores and development opportunities.
• Manage projects through concept, definition and development stages with milestones.
• Review landlord and developer requirements including AFLs and shell specs.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated design and delivery.
• Prepare business cases, budgets, cost plans and risk mitigation strategies.
