Job summary

Monzo is seeking a Senior PR and Communications Manager (12-month FTC) for Expansion Markets. You will drive PR strategy across Europe beyond the UK, lead day-to-day activity in established markets and launch campaigns in new markets, collaborating with marketing, social, influencer teams and leadership.

You’ll report to the Director of Corporate Communications and manage an EU PR Manager based in Spain. Hybrid UK options with travel; attractive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading tailored and scalable PR strategies for multiple international markets.
• Experience launching brands with little brand awareness in new markets across Europe.
• Track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
• Strong experience working with and managing external agencies across multiple markets.
• Ability to understand local media, audience nuances and adapt strategy accordingly.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute PR activity in established European markets, Ireland and Spain.
• Lead and implement go-to-market PR for new EU markets with launch plans.
• Secure regular coverage through campaigns and reactive local news opportunities.
• Balance global campaigns with locally relevant content.
• Manage spokespeople and advise senior leaders on external communications and media training.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, commercial and operations teams.
• Manage international agencies and teams while preparing for new EU markets.
• Build relationships with media and journalists; handle press inquiries.
• Use data and insights to inform expansion strategy.
• Establish new processes and ways of working in new markets.
• Stay ahead of policy trends to inform strategy and thought leadership.
