Job summary

Aurora Power, now part of the Morson Praxis group, is seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer to join its UK energy team in Bristol. You will lead power system studies, liaise with clients and manage project delivery while mentoring junior staff. The role requires 5+ years in consultancy-type environments and Chartered Engineer progress.

Expertise with loadflow, short circuit, harmonics, and G99 studies, plus hands-on use of DIgSILENT, PSS/E, ETAP or IPSA, is essential. Hybrid working available.

Qualifications

• MSc, MEng or equivalent required.
• 5+ years' experience in electrical engineering design or analysis.
• Knowledge of DIgSILENT, PSS/E, ETAP, IPSA or similar.
• Experience with loadflow, short circuit, harmonic studies and G99.
• Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng).

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients and manage project delivery.
• Support junior team members and assist in study delivery.
• Perform wide range of power system studies and simulations.
• Utilise DIgSILENT, PSS/E, ETAP or IPSA for analyses.
