Job summary

Aurora Power, now part of the Morson Praxis group, is seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer to strengthen our power system analysis team based in the UK. The role requires a MSc/MEng in electrical engineering and 5+ years' consultancy experience with extensive knowledge of loadflow, short circuit and protection studies.

The successful candidate will liaise with clients, manage project delivery, and support junior staff, with Chartered Engineer status encouraged.

Qualifications

• MSc, MEng or equivalent in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years' experience in electrical engineering design or analysis.
• Experience with loadflow, short circuit, harmonic studies, and G99.
• Familiar with DIgSILENT, PSS/E, ETAP, IPSA or similar.
• Working towards, or has achieved, Chartered Engineer (CEng).

Responsibilities

• Lead power system studies and analysis projects.
• Liaise with clients and manage project delivery.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Contribute to PSCAD, G99, and protection studies where required.
