Job summary

GE Vernova in Rugby seeks an experienced Lead Power Electronics Integration Engineer to own the end-to-end design, integration, and validation of megawatt-scale power converters and their packaging. You will lead electromechanical integration across Marine, Naval, Energy, and Industrial applications, collaborating with CAD and power electronics engineers.

This senior IC role requires deep expertise in thermal, mechanical, and electrical disciplines, driving manufacturability and reliability

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (BEng/MEng/PhD).
• Significant experience in power electronics converter design and packaging for LV/MV systems.
• Strong background in thermal management, mechanical design and integration.
• Proficiency with design/simulation tools (EPLAN, MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, ANSYS, SolidWorks).
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex deliverables.
• Familiarity with industry standards/regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead electromechanical integration design for power converters and enclosures; drive DfM and DfA initiatives.
• Specify, design and document converter solutions including cooling, components, protection, and mechanical concepts.
• Plan and oversee LV/MV testing, validation, and compliance; manage BOM and configuration.
• Lead thermal/structural analyses and environmental testing with mechanical specialists.
• Support project delivery and cross-functional teams; engage suppliers for cost-effective realizations.
