Job summary

The Nuffield Department of Women’s and Reproductive Health at Oxford invites applications for a Senior Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join the Endometriosis CaRe Centre (EndoCaRe). You will lead translational research translating human genetic discoveries into potential new treatments, collaborating with our industrial partner Gedeon Richter.

You will work with patient-derived endometriosis tissues, perform gene and protein expression analyses, primary cell culture and genome editing.

Qualifications

• PhD/DPhil in a relevant field required.
• Postdoctoral experience in genome editing methodologies.
• Experience with gene and protein expression analysis in primary tissues, tissue culture and in vitro functional assays.

Responsibilities

• Lead research activities to validate novel therapeutic targets using patient-derived endometriosis tissues.
• Develop and optimise experimental protocols; supervise graduate research students and manage budgets.
• Publish and present results; collaborate with clinicians, geneticists and computational scientists.

Education

PhD/DPhil in cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, reproductive biology or a related discipline
