Job summary

Selfridges is seeking a POS Application Support Analyst to stabilize and continuously improve POS apps and payment systems across the retail estate. You will handle incidents, on-call duties, and change releases to keep transactions safe and reliable.

You will work closely with Infrastructure, IT Security, and Retail Operations to ensure store technology enables safe, efficient customer payments across multiple cities including London, Leicester, Birmingham or Manchester.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing POS or retail application support in a multi-store environment.
• Hands-on experience supporting Oracle Retail Xstore POS (or similar enterprise POS) including Xstore
• Knowledge of POS software platforms and integrations
• Experience with payment services and transaction flows
• Store networking and connectivity dependencies
• Release and change management processes
• Monitoring and incident management tooling
• Understanding of PCI DSS requirements and store tech security

Responsibilities

• Own application support for POS and payment systems across stores and digital touchpoints.
• Support and maintain Xstore stack and integration with Oracle DB, payment services, and back-office systems.
• Respond rapidly to POS incidents, especially during trading periods.
• Contribute to major incident management for POS outages.
• Ensure monitoring, alerts, and escalation paths for POS apps are effective.
• Deliver POS changes and releases with minimal retail disruption.
• Coordinate testing, rollout, and rollback with store operations and infrastructure teams.
• Ensure changes are secure, performant, and PCI-compliant.
• Provide evidence for audits and operational assurance.
• Collaborate with Security and GRC on vulnerabilities and access controls.
