Job summary

CPC Project Services LLP in Birmingham is seeking a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to lead highway and infrastructure schemes from design through construction. You will work closely with local authority clients and multidisciplinary teams.

The role offers hybrid working in Birmingham, with exposure to governance, NEC contracts, and accountable cost controls. You will present business cases to elected members and stakeholders and help shape regional transport outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering highways or infrastructure for local authorities
• Good understanding of local authority governance and business case processes
• Experience with NEC contracts (accreditation a bonus)
• Familiarity with DMRB and highway design standards
• Confident communicator with elected members, stakeholders and public
• Strong planning, cost and programme management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead highway and infrastructure projects from design through construction
• Manage commercial aspects and risk to deliver on time and budget
• Line-manage multi-disciplinary project teams
• Ensure governance and procurement compliance for local authorities
• Prepare and present business cases to elected members and stakeholders
• Apply DMRB and highway design standards to schemes
• Facilitate public consultations and brief stakeholders
• Oversee NEC contracts and contractor management
