Qualifications

• 5+ years of specialised PLM experience with project ownership.
• Strong understanding of PLM systems in an automotive context and data management.
• Experience with Teamcenter BIMDE; advanced workflow design and attribute mapping.
• Experience setting up dispatchers and resolving workflow issues.
• Good understanding of CAD systems (NX preferred) and the engineering design process.
• Experience delivering user support, guidance documentation, and training.
• Proven skills in project planning, system testing and data migration.
• Hybrid project management blending agile and waterfall approaches.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Knowledge of CAD release, BOM structures, change management.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day management of the Siemens NX CAD and Teamcenter PLM system, supporting design teams and related functions.
• Lead engineers in applying core CAD/PLM tools to ensure data quality and user proficiency.
• Own the PLM Team ticket system and conduct regular reviews.
• Deliver user guidance and training to promote best practices in system use.
• Generate procedures and work instructions to assist in system use.
• Develop functional and non-functional requirements to drive PLM/CAD improvements.
• Lead development, testing and deployment of new or enhanced tools to meet requirements.
• Maintain legacy CAD and PDM data within SolidWorks environment.
• Support IT in hardware/software upgrades and testing.
• Liaise with 3rd party vendors to resolve issues and conduct code reviews.
• Research and maintain knowledge of latest PLM/CAD technologies.

About the role

The Senior PLM Analyst will define and lead the development and deployment of our Siemens NX CAD and PLM systems as well as looking after our legacy systems.

What you'll do

• Own the Day-to-day management of the Siemens NX CAD and Teamcenter PLM system, supporting the mechanical and controller design teams, as well as supporting functions such as manufacturing, quality, metrology and procurement teams.
• Acting as the Subject Matter Expert, leading engineers in the application of core CAD and PLM tools to ensure a high level of data quality and user proficiency is achieved
• Own the PLM Team ticket system and regular reviews
• Delivery of user guidance, online and instructor‑led training to achieve best practices in the use of the systems.
• Generation of procedures and work instructions to assist in the use of our systems.
• Develop functional and non‑functional requirements to drive the delivery of new, or to improve existing PLM and CAD processes and tools.
• Lead the development, testing, and final deployment of any new or enhanced tools to ensure PLM and CAD requirements are met.
• Maintenance of legacy CAD and PDM data within the SolidWorks environment.
• Support IT in defining hardware and software upgrades and testing.
• Liaise with 3rd party vendors and partners to resolve issues.
• Conduct code reviews and raising the overall technical capability of the team.
• Research and maintain a good knowledge of the latest PLM/CAD technologies and tool s .

Skills & Experience

Required:

• 5+ years of specialised experience; proven track record of project ownership.
• You will need a good fundamental understanding of PLM systems, in an automotive background, (or similar) and data management
• Experience using Teamcenter B.M.I.D.E and advanced workflow design, attribute mapping and knowledge of Siemens AWC
• Experience setting up dispatcher and resolving workflow issues
• A good fundamental understanding of CAD systems, (preferably NX) system operation and the engineering design process
• Experienced in delivering user support, creation of guidance documentation, and delivery of training
• Skilled in project planning, system testing, and data migration
• Hybrid project management blending agile and waterfall approaches
• Good communication skills, and stakeholder management. You will have demonstrable experience of delivering a clear message to audiences at all levels of seniority
• Detailed working knowledge of system workflows and business processes, such as CAD release, BOM structures, change management, etc
• The ability to specify system‑related hardware such as CAD stations, servers etc. would be advantageous
• Analytical by nature with good attention to detail, ability to distill user needs into requirements, and capable of prioritising work backlog
• Flexible approach to work, desire to thrive in a dynamic and fast‑moving environment.

The pay range for this role is:
