Job description

We are seeking an experienced PLM Contractor to support a large-scale Digital Transformation Programme within a complex enterprise environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the ongoing development, enhancement and support of a Siemens Teamcenter Unified Architecture (TCUA) platform, deployed on-premise and supporting over 1,000 users.

This is a hands‑on technical role requiring extensive experience across Teamcenter installation, configuration, customisation, integration and administration.

Working within an established implementation, you will be responsible for enhancing existing functionality, developing technical solutions, supporting business processes and contributing to the migration of data from legacy PLM systems into the new Teamcenter environment.

You will collaborate closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, infrastructure specialists and third‑party suppliers to ensure the platform continues to evolve in line with business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Teamcenter Installation, Configuration & Administration
  • Install, configure and maintain Siemens Teamcenter Unified Architecture (TCUA), including Active Workspace, server components and client layers.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of High Availability (HA) and load‑balanced environments.
  • Utilise Siemens Deployment Centre for installations, upgrades and environment management across Teamcenter 12/13+ versions.
  • Configure and support Single Sign‑On (SSO), authentication and authorisation mechanisms.
  • Administer Teamcenter environments within Windows‑based infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to support automation and environment management.
Customisation, Development & Extensions
  • Configure and customise Teamcenter using BMIDE, ITK development and IPS/Data Upload tools.
  • Develop, enhance and maintain Active Workspace configurations and user interface customisations.
  • Create, modify and troubleshoot Teamcenter Reporting & Analytics (TCRA) reports.
  • Develop scripting solutions using Python and PowerShell to support automation, data transformation and system administration.
  • Enhance existing Teamcenter functionality in line with evolving business and technical requirements.
Systems Integration & Data Migration
  • Develop, configure and maintain integrations between Siemens Teamcenter and enterprise ERP platforms, particularly Oracle.
  • Maintain and enhance existing data migration scripts and processes to accommodate changing requirements and solution designs.
  • Support data loading and transformation using tools and technologies including IPS Upload, PLMXML, CSV2TCXML and Python.
  • Contribute to the migration of data from legacy PLM platforms, including Teamcenter Enterprise (TCE), into Teamcenter Unified Architecture.
  • Troubleshoot integration and migration issues, ensuring data integrity and consistency across connected systems.
Technical Support, Testing & Continuous Improvement
  • Work collaboratively with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, testers and technical teams to support effective adoption and use of Teamcenter.
  • Investigate, diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, escalating product‑level defects to Siemens where appropriate.
  • Support performance testing, load testing and system optimisation activities.
  • Work alongside infrastructure, security and IT teams to ensure platform compliance with relevant security and hardening standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance, functionality, stability and operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance across the wider digital transformation programme.
