Job summary

BOS Innovations Inc. in London, Ontario, is seeking a Programming Manager to lead the PLC, HMI, and Robotics Programming teams on complex industrial automation projects.

You will shape technical direction, oversee project delivery, and develop both people and processes to drive performance and quality. Reporting to Operations, you will coordinate with Engineering, Projects, and Service teams to ensure safety, budgets, and schedules are met, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement,

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Electrical Eng, Mechatronics, Automation, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in industrial automation, including PLC programming, robotics integration, and commissioning of custom automation systems.
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrated technical leadership or people management experience, including team development, resource planning, and project coordination.
• Strong technical knowledge of PLC platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, Omron, or equivalent, and industrial robotics platforms such as FANUC, ABB, KUKA, or Yaskawa.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for PLC, HMI, and Robotics Programming, including system integration, testing, and commissioning.
• Oversee departmental resources, scheduling, and external contractor coordination.
• Ensure programming deliverables meet customer specifications, safety standards, and BOS quality expectations.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations within the department.
• Develop and maintain programming standards, processes, and documentation for continuous improvement.
