Job summary

Source Solutions are seeking a Senior Engineer (PLC & Robotics) for their Portsmouth facility to develop bespoke PLC software from scratch for new automated machinery, including integration of robotic arms. You will work across the design and development lifecycle in a collaborative, in-house environment.

This permanent role, Mon-Fri in Portsmouth, offers a chance to advance in a high-tech setting while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to end-to-end project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience developing PLCs from scratch in an industrial setting.
• Proven track record in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Exposure to robotics, ideally programming or integration.
• Ability to work autonomously and guide junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop bespoke PLC code from scratch for new automated machines.
• Integrate other lines elements such as robotic arms and systems.
• Collaborate with design and commissioning engineers throughout the lifecycle.
