Actemium Automation Warrington, part of Vinci Energies, seeks a Senior Software Controls Engineer to deliver PLC, HMI and SCADA solutions across regulated industries. This role offers technical ownership, varied project work and strong support for wellbeing and career development.

You will lead software design and commissioning, develop structured code, and mentor junior engineers while coordinating with field devices, Ethernet/IP/Profinet/Modbus networks and MES/ERP integrations.

Qualifications

• Lead software design, development and commissioning of PLC/HMI/SCADA systems.
• Documentation of system architectures, functional specs, I/O lists and test procedures.
• Develop modular, well-commented code in line with company/industry standards.
• Support FATs, SATs and on-site commissioning, diagnostics, troubleshooting and software modifications.
• Integrate PLC/SCADA with field devices, industrial networks and MES/ERP.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
