Job summary

Humanoid is building the world’s most capable humanoid robots and is seeking a Senior Platform Software Engineer to develop the core OS, data networks and protocols for our next‑generation platform. You will write high‑integrity, embedded software that integrates sensors, safety systems and computing platforms for safe human‑robot collaboration.

You will take ownership of new systems, drive cross‑functional projects with electrical engineers, robotics control experts and AI developers, and help

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing and deploying production software in embedded systems running Linux (C++, C, Rust, Python, Go).
• Experience developing time-sensitive, performance critical applications.
• Thorough understanding of Ethernet and IP networking and higher-level protocols like HTTP or gRPC.
• Experience with Nvidia’s Jetson platform is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate embedded software for scalable real-world robot operation.
• Integrate hardware and software across sensors, actuators and computing platforms.
• Lead cross-functional projects involving perception, subsystems and integration.
• Test, validate and ensure safety and reliability in real-world conditions.
• Build tooling, infrastructure and practices in a small agile R&D team.
• Advance safety and performance of robots in human-centric environments.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, robotics control, and AI teams to integrate systems.
