Job summary

Morgan Stanley in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Platform Engineering Leader to shape and scale the developer tooling ecosystem across self-hosted and SaaS environments. You will lead Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and related SDLC platforms to improve reliability, security, and developer productivity at enterprise scale.

You will collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams, drive AI-enabled workflows, and turn ambiguity into progress while mentoring engineers and setting

Qualifications

• Significant experience building, operating, or evolving large-scale developer platforms, CI/CD systems, or infrastructure services.
• Hands-on Java experience, particularly in Jenkins plugin development or extending CI/CD tooling.
• Strong Python experience for infrastructure management, automation, or orchestration in complex environments.
• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Enthusiasm for AI-assisted software delivery and scalable tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, design, and evolution of enterprise developer tooling and CI/CD platforms across a global environment.
• Improve reliability, scale, usability, and operational maturity of self-hosted and SaaS tooling.
• Partner with engineering teams to identify friction, set direction, and deliver platform improvements.
• Drive adoption of modern automation and AI-enabled workflows across software delivery and platform operations.
• Provide clear ownership, mentoring, and leadership to developers and platform engineers.
