Arbor Education is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to own and evolve our platform components, ensuring robust, scalable and secure systems. You will collaborate with the Platform Tech Lead and Engineering Manager to deliver high-quality engineering work while supporting fellow engineers and embedding reliability.

You’ll help drive architectural decisions, be hands-on with cloud services (AWS), and mentor colleagues, contributing to a culture of operational excellence across the team.

Qualifications

• Considerable professional experience in Platform Engineering on complex, scalable systems.
• Aktive hands-on expertise with AWS and distributed cloud architectures.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and reliable deployments.

Responsibilities

• Architectural contribution and system design with a focus on speed, scalability and security.
• Own services from design through production; ensure observability and meet SLOs.
• Automate infrastructure and operations to reduce toil and increase velocity.
• Uphold coding standards and write well-tested, reusable code; enable AI agents as productivity tools.
• Provide estimates, participate in release planning, and manage dependencies.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and pairing; share knowledge across the team.
• Participate in on-call rotations; lead post-mortems and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to align delivery with product strategy.
