Job summary

Skyral is seeking a senior software engineer to own complex platform initiatives, shape our technical direction, and mentor engineers. You'll build reusable tooling and automation, packaging common open-source components for deployment in diverse environments, while embedding security into the platform through audits and secure-by-default practices.

The role emphasizes Go or Python development, IaC with Terraform, GitOps with ArgoCD, and hands-on work on cloud platforms (GCP/AWS) and Kubernetes,

Qualifications

• Proficiency in building tooling and services in Go or Python.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and GitOps (ArgoCD).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (GCP/AWS).

Responsibilities

• Own complex platform initiatives end-to-end.
• Set technical direction and roadmap for the core platform.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards.
• Improve developer tooling and automation (GitHub Actions, GitOps, Terraform).
• Maintain reusable components for deployment in varied environments.
• Incorporate security into the platform via secure-by-default infrastructure and audits.
