Job summary

Ocean Infinity in London is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to own and evolve the systems, tooling and infrastructure that support our software delivery and platform operations. You will lead core platform components, improve internal tooling, and strengthen observability to enable engineering teams to deploy reliably at scale.

Reporting to the Core Engineering Lead, you’ll collaborate across the organization to provide hands-on support, architectural input and practical solutions that grow

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, SRE, DevOps or infra-focused software development.
• Strong experience with Cloud environments (Azure preferred) and cloud networking, identity, compute & storage.
• Hands-on production Kubernetes experience incl. deployments, troubleshooting, networking & day-to-day ops.
• Comfortable running containerized services at scale and using IaC to automate deployments.
• Experience owning and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and internal tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve core platform systems and architecture for cloud, Kubernetes, CI/CD & internal tooling foundations.
• Drive high-impact platform improvements across infra, deployments and automation for reliability and performance.
• Build for resilience and efficiency with secure, fault-tolerant platform capabilities.
• Enhance developer productivity by creating internal tools, services and workflows.
• Strengthen observability with monitoring, logging and alerting across environments.
• Collaborate with product teams to support new features and ensure reliable services on the platform.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve delivery speed and developer experience.
• Promote platform standards and patterns for secure, scalable ops.
