Job summary

Gigaton is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our platform team and push the boundaries of how AI helps decarbonise heavy industry. You will own platform components across AWS and GCP, collaborate with product and ML teams, and help scale deployments to numerous sites with security and compliance in mind.

You will be a senior IC, shaping architecture, owning CI/CD pipelines, and thriving in an agile environment that values rapid delivery and robust quality.

Qualifications

• Solid cloud architecture experience with AWS or GCP.
• Senior individual contributor capable of owning end-to-end features.
• Fluent in Python and Terraform.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines for frequent, safe releases.
• Comfortable with agile practices including pair programming and TDD.

Responsibilities

• Own key platform components across AWS and GCP, shaping architecture for scalable, secure systems.
• Deploy and operate workloads inside customer-owned cloud accounts, collaborating with client IT teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote software engineering best practices.
• Propose and drive improvements to existing systems and pipelines.
