Astute People is recruiting a Senior Plant Engineer for a biogas site near Edinburgh on behalf of a UK leading anaerobic digestion business. You will deputise for the site or general manager and help run safe, compliant operations with a focus on maintenance strategy.

The role offers a salary up to £53,000 depending on experience, plus bonus, pension and ongoing training. Typical hours are Monday to Friday with a weekend rota and remote monitoring support.

Formación

• Qualified mechanical or electrical engineer, or time served.
• Safety qualifications (IOSH/NEBOSH) or equivalent.
• WAMITAB is desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Site Manager with HAZOP, ATEX, DSEAR and change control compliance.
• Drive a Planned Preventative Maintenance system and direct the maintenance team.
• Manage costs within budgets.
• Oversee spares holding and maintenance standards.
• Develop the Integrated Management System and maintenance system.
• Motivate and upskill the maintenance team and achieve KPIs.

Astute's Renewable Energy team is partnering with a UK leading business in anaerobic digestion that provides cost-effective, low carbon, food and organic waste management. We are looking to recruit a Senior Plant Engineer for their site near Edinburgh

The Plant Maintenance Engineer role comes with a salary of up to £53,000 (depending on experience), Bonus, pension, life assurance, ongoing training, development and progression as well as overtime.

Please note that this role is to work Monday - Friday with a rota for weekend work with remote monitoring.

Responsibilities and duties of the Senior Plant Engineer

• Deputise for the site or general manager, assisting in the safe and compliant running of the site.
• Assist the Site Manager to maintain HAZOP, ATEX, DSEAR and full control of change compliance.
• Drive an effective Planned Preventative Maintenance system on site, directing the activities of the Site Team & contractors
• Management of costs within budgets
• Have oversight and control of cost-effective spares holding and best practice engineering maintenance standards.
• Develop the Integrated Management System and maintenance system.
• Motivate and upskill the maintenance team, ensuring KPIs are being achieved.

Professional qualifications

• A recognised mechanical or electrical qualification/or time served
• IOSH/NEBOSH safety qualifications (or equivalent)
• WAMITAB (Desirable)
• Full UK Driving Licence

Personal skills

• Safety conscious and aware of environmental impacts
• Proven Engineering ability and experience across industrial engineering activities (mechanical, electrical, process, or control & instrumentation)
• Quality driven with experience of ISO accreditation (9001, 14001, 45001)
• Experience managing a budget or controlling costs
