Job summary

Gatwick Airport Limited is seeking a Planning Manager for Major Projects to join the world’s most efficient single-runway airport. You will lead planning for a substantial investment programme, typically > £150m, working with the Programme Manager to ensure timely delivery and value across all project stages.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive Primavera P6 experience, and collaboration with diverse stakeholders to meet ambitious targets.

Qualifications

• Experience planning infrastructure projects as Senior Planner or Planning Manager on multi-year programmes > £100m.
• Experience leading small teams.
• Extensive experience of Primavera P6 and related commercial acumen.
• Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders to explain complex ideas clearly.
• Proven leadership and influencing skills; ability to motivate and coach others.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain schedules for the entire project journey from concept to closeout.
• Lead and manage planning teams across the programme.
• Lead programme schedule reporting and dashboard development.
• Assist in trend and change processes to improve outcomes.
• Support risk and opportunity registers and cost forecasts.
• Support development of planning standards and mentor team members.
• Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards across the programme and its contractors.
