Job summary

London Gatwick is seeking a Planning Manager to join its Major Projects team. The role sits in a hybrid office-first environment, with three days in the office and two days remote, supporting a substantial investment programme valued in excess of £150m.

You will lead planning across all lifecycle stages, develop schedules, manage risks, and collaborate with the Programme Manager to deliver on time and within cost targets. A strong focus on people leadership and process improvement is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience planning infrastructure projects as Senior Planner or Planning Manager on multi-year programmes (>£100m).
• Experience leading small teams.
• Extensive experience with Primavera P6 and related commercial acumen.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.
• Proven leadership, influencing, mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain schedules for the entire project journey, manage control programmes and delay analysis.
• Lead planning teams across the programme to achieve strategic goals.
• Lead programme schedule reporting and dashboards; align cost estimates and tender timelines.
• Support risk, opportunity registers and cost forecasting for the programme.
• Develop planning standards and mentor team members; uphold HSE across the programme.
