Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in London is seeking an experienced Senior/Principal Town Planner to join our leading planning consultancy. You will lead planning projects across infrastructure sectors, manage bids, support junior colleagues, and deliver high-quality reports and presentations to clients.

The role offers a hybrid work model, exposure to diverse projects, and opportunities to develop client relationships while guiding multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in planning or equivalent subject.
• Chartered or working towards chartership.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills.
• Experience in delivering planning projects on time and within budget.
• Knowledge of TCPA, DCO, TWAO or equivalent applications.

Responsibilities

• Act as Planning Lead/Support lead on projects across markets and sectors.
• Lead bid preparation, tender submissions and framework responses.
• Serve as lead consultant for multi-disciplinary projects and manage delivery.
• Support junior colleagues and planning team leaders.
• Collaborate with environmental, engineering and design teams across AtkinsRéalis (UK and international).
• Engage with market and client leads to support growth opportunities.
