Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Leeds is seeking experienced Town Planners at Senior/Principal level to support growth of our North of England team and deliver major infrastructure and development projects for clients.

You will act as Planning Lead, lead multi-disciplinary deliveries, and help drive bid proposals while mentoring junior staff in a collaborative, inclusive environment. This role supports a hybrid working culture with opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• A relevant Planning degree; RTPI membership desirable.
• You are self-motivated, enthusiastic, determined and resilient.
• Ability to work under pressure with strong time management and deadlines.
• Understanding of TCPA, DCO, TWAO or equivalent applications.
• Experience with EIA and knowledge of planning policy.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams across projects and geographies.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to explain and discuss planning issues.
• Proven ability to win work and develop client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Act as Planning Lead on projects across markets and sectors.
• Lead bid preparation, tender submissions and framework responses.
• Lead consultant for multi-disciplinary projects; manage delivery.
• Support junior colleagues and Planning team leaders.
• Work in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment with colleagues across AtkinsRéalis.
• Engage with market and client leads to support business growth.
