Job summary

Marrons in Manchester is seeking a Planning professional to develop their career within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary consultancy. You will work on strategic planning projects, planning applications and land promotions for residential development, collaborating with economics, design, transport and heritage teams.

The role offers hybrid working with opportunities to build client relationships and influence regional strategy as our planning team grows alongside a dedicated support network.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Planning role (consultancy, development industry or local government).
• A relevant Planning qualification.
• Membership of RTPI (or working towards membership).
• Solid understanding of the planning process and systems.
• Excellent writing skills with a strong eye for detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.

Responsibilities

• Advising on development potential of land and buildings.
• Assisting with preparing planning applications and appeals.
• Providing policy advice and research.
• Drafting representations to plan consultations and examinations.
• Assisting in identifying land opportunities.
• Working with clients and other consultants to deliver development.
