Job summary

Marrons is seeking an Associate/Associate Director in Transport Planning to lead a range of projects across residential, commercial, energy, leisure, and large SUE sites from our Birmingham hubs. You will mentor junior staff, help win work and shape the regional strategy within a growing consultancy.

You will work in a hybrid model, collaborating with in-house planning, urban design and masterplanning teams to deliver high-quality outputs.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in the transport planning industry.
• Excellent technical and design skills as well as report writing skills.
• Relevant degree qualification in Transport Planning, Geography or Civil Engineering
• Use of AutoCAD, TRICS, JUNCTIONS and LINSIG modelling software is desirable
• Experience of planning appeals is desirable

Responsibilities

• Project lead from a transport planning perspective whether this be working alongside Marrons planning colleagues or external clients
• Reviewing Transport Assessments / Travel Plans / Feasibility Studies
• Providing high level advice to clients at project inception stage and through the duration of a scheme
• Attend client meetings and public consultations
• Contribute towards winning work
• Work collaboratively with in house Marrons specialist teams
