Job summary

Marrons is seeking a Planner / Senior Planner to join our Manchester team. You will work in a dynamic consultancy with a broad client base across the North West, focusing on strategic planning, planning applications and land promotion for residential development.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues and nurture client relationships, with hybrid working and real opportunities to influence regional projects and Marrons' growth strategy.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Planning role (consultancy, development industry or local government).
• A relevant Planning qualification.
• Membership of RTPI or working towards membership.
• Solid understanding of the planning process and systems.
• Excellent writing skills with a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly approachable manner.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage time efficiently.
• Drive, commitment, enthusiastic and a team player approach.

Responsibilities

• Advising on development potential of land and buildings.
• Assisting with preparing planning applications and appeals.
• Providing policy advice and research.
• Drafting representations to plan consultations and examinations.
• Assisting in identifying land opportunities.
• Working with clients and other consultants to deliver development.
