Job summary

Parents And Children Together (PACT) in Reading is seeking a part-time Senior Placements Officer to join the Adoption team. The role offers hybrid working with a minimum of one day a week in Reading and one day per month in London, 30 hours per week from Monday to Friday.

The pro-rata salary range is £24,946 to £30,489 per annum, with full-time equivalent £30,768–£37,604. The role focuses on family finding, supporting adopters, and leading placements staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in a family finding role with knowledge of adopters or foster carers.
• Experience leading a small team to maintain high customer service and meet targets.
• Experience working in partnership with statutory and voluntary groups and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Work with potential adopters to enable matching, including supporting them at profile events.
• Collaborate with social workers and adopters to build and follow links with external agencies.
• Promote PACT's adoption service through local awareness and networking with partner agencies.
• Mentor direct reports and handle escalated queries.
