Job summary

The Circle Health Group is seeking an experienced Senior Physiotherapist (MSK) for The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle. This 22.5-hour-per-week role is permanent/fixed-term with a salary up to £39,300 FTE, reflecting experience, training and qualifications.

You will assess complex MSK cases, develop tailored treatment plans, and supervise junior staff while maintaining high standards of documentation and patient care. A flexible shift pattern is required.

Qualifications

• Must be HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
• Solid post-registration experience across clinical areas.
• Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with complex needs across inpatient or outpatient settings.
• Develop individualised treatment plans to optimise recovery, function and independence.
• Manage a designated caseload with a focus on urgency and discharge planning.
• Support junior physiotherapists, therapy assistants and students with guidance.
• Maintain accurate clinical records per HCPC, CSP and local policy.
• Participate in audits, service evaluations and quality improvement projects.

The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle Is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for an Senior Physiotherapist to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.

This is a part time role for 22.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties Of This Role Include

• Independently assess and treat patients with more complex needs across inpatient or outpatient settings.
• Develop individualised treatment plans using a variety of physiotherapy techniques to optimise recovery, function, and independence.
• Manage a designated caseload efficiently, prioritising based on clinical urgency and discharge planning needs.
• Act as a point of contact for junior physiotherapists, therapy assistants, and students, offering guidance and informal supervision.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical records in line with HCPC, CSP, and local policy.
• Participate in audits, service evaluations, and quality improvement projects.
