Job summary

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust in Abingdon is seeking a Senior Physiotherapist to join the City and South Oxfordshire Community Learning Disability Service. You will deliver specialist physiotherapy to adults with learning disabilities in homes, community settings, and bases, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Candidates should have physiotherapy experience in learning disabilities or related fields, manage their own caseload, and participate in governance and service development.

Qualifications

• Deliver specialist, evidence-based physiotherapy to people with learning disabilities and diverse complex conditions
• Provide high-quality physiotherapy in homes and community settings
• Manage own caseload as an autonomous practitioner with flexible time
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary LD Team and wider health and social care services

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist, evidence-based physiotherapeutic management to people with a learning disability and a range of diverse and complex health conditions
• Provide a high quality physiotherapy service to people with a learning disability in their homes and in a variety of community and other health care settings
• Be responsible for your own caseload as an autonomous practitioner adapting your approach to meet the health and communication needs of the service users
• Work jointly and in a holistic manner with the multi-disciplinary Learning Disability Team, the LD Physiotherapy Team and wider health and social care services
• Participate in and contribute to clinical governance, and physiotherapy and service wide developmental projects
• Use your clinical reasoning skills, be able to manage your own caseload, work independently and organise your time flexibly
