We have an opportunity for a Senior Pharmacy Technician to join the pharmacy team at Sarum Road Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, supporting staffing during busy periods and covering staff absences.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing technical support in the preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medicines across inpatient, outpatient, and theatre areas.
• Supporting ward-based services such as stock management, medicines reconciliation, and discharge preparation.
• Assisting pharmacists to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines in line with clinical protocols.
• Overseeing the daily work of pharmacy technicians, assistants, and trainees, supporting workflow management.
• Acting as a role model and first point of contact for technical queries and problem-solving.
• Supporting induction, training, and development of junior staff.

Candidate requirements:

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC.
• Significant experience in a hospital or healthcare pharmacy setting.
• Knowledge of medicines management, stock control, and pharmacy services.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to supervise and mentor junior staff effectively.
