Overview: Senior Pharmacy Technician at Southend Private Hospital

Salary: Up to £27,100.00 FTE per year (depending on experience, training, and qualification)

Southend Private Hospital has recently been awarded OUTSTANDING by the CQC. It is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare.

This is a part-time role for 12 hours a week, requiring flexible shift coverage.

Duties include:

• Providing technical support in the preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medicines.
• Supporting ward-based services such as stock management, medicines reconciliation, and discharge preparation.
• Assisting pharmacists to ensure safe and effective medication use.
• Supervising pharmacy technicians, assistants, and trainees, managing workflow.
• Acting as a role model and first point of contact for technical queries.
• Supporting induction, training, and development of junior staff.

Qualifications:

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC.
• Experience in hospital or healthcare pharmacy.
• Knowledge of medicines management, stock control, and pharmacy services.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to supervise and mentor staff.
