Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Lead Pharmacy Technician to manage stores and distribution, supervise staff, and ensure stock accuracy and safety across wards and clinics.

You will oversee Omnicell systems, conduct top-up checks, monitor temperatures, and maintain audit trails while coordinating with procurement and ward teams to resolve stock issues and ensure timely replenishment.

Responsabilidades

• Manage staff and activities in Pharmacy stores and coordinate with Senior Stores Assistant.
• Monitor temperatures and correct storage of fridge items, cytotoxic medicines, etc.
• Maintain a full audit trail for stock supplied to wards and identify who picked, checked, delivered, and received.
• Liaise with ward Pharmacists and ward-based Pharmacy Technicians to keep ward stock lists up to date.
• Ensure expiry date checks are carried out continuously and before stocks are sent to wards.
• Supervise disposal of stock drugs returned from wards and departments.
• Oversee Omnicell machines and assist with new Omnicell implementations; process orders accurately and timely.
• Carry out top-up spot checks, retrain staff when needed, and formally manage when quality fails.
• Write, review and implement written procedures; ensure staff read and understand updates.
• Coordinate daily stock checks (KADJM) and investigate stock discrepancies to maintain accurate levels.
• Monitor stock to-follows or out-of-stock medicines and liaise with procurement for quick substitutions.
• Lead weekly stores area meetings to communicate workload and service updates.
