Job summary

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an organised pharmacy SDU professional to manage batch stock, monitor expiries and coordinate with suppliers to prevent shortages. The role involves ensuring SOP compliance, participating in audits and supporting improvements across the unit.

Responsibilities include EPIC line authorisation liaison, waste reduction initiatives, and staff training to uphold high standards within the SDU.

Responsibilities

• Manage batch stock levels and monitor expiry records to minimise wastage.
• Liaise with stakeholders to add new lines to EPIC after obtaining required authorisation.
• Review and maintain high-cost stock lines to reduce wastage; attend Waste Meeting to discuss trends and actions.
• Ensure minimum stock levels for batch lines by monitoring outstanding orders and contacting suppliers.
• Coordinate invoice processing with procurement/stores and maintain RMH accounts with Finance Accounts Payable.
• Conduct supply review meetings with main suppliers and document outcomes.
• File and archive all relevant documentation per Trust requirements and procedures.
• Regularly review SOPs and ensure compliance with Good Dispensing Practice and audits.
