Job summary

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Lead Pharmacist to set the medicines optimisation direction across the Planned and Critical Care Division. You will lead pharmacy staff and deliver advanced clinical services in surgery, critical care and theatres.

The role requires GPhC registration and at least 8a-level post-registration experience, with seven-day working and on-call duties as part of the Pharmacy Senior On Call team.

• IT/computer literacy essential for pharmacy systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, operational and professional leadership for Planned and Critical Care, promoting evidence-based, cost-effective use of medicines.
• Ensure effective pharmacy support across all Planned and Critical Care services.
• Lead and manage pharmacy staff in the Planned and Critical Care Division to agreed standards and business planning requirements.
• Provide an advanced clinical service to patients, which may include surgery, critical care, trauma, theatre, MSK or parenteral nutrition.
• Take part in seven-day working and late duty rotas.
• Work as part of the Pharmacy Senior On Call team.
