Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two Advanced Pharmacists for HIV and Antimicrobials to lead and develop the HIV pharmacy service across UHDB. You will work with clinicians, nurses and microbiology teams to ensure patient-centred care and medicines safety.

You will provide advanced clinical leadership for HIV medicines, undertake pharmacist-led reviews, and may undertake independent prescribing within an agreed scope.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Pharmacy and GPhC registration.
• PG Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent.
• Specialist knowledge and experience in HIV medicines and antimicrobial stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the HIV/antimicrobial pharmacy service.
• Undertake medicines reconciliation and verify ART regimens.
• Identify and manage drug interactions and adverse effects.
• Lead pharmacist-led clinics and independent prescribing within scope.
• Participate in HIV MDT meetings and ensure safe ART prescribing.
