Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Advanced Specialist Pharmacist - HIV (Band 8a) to lead a high-level HIV pharmacy service across outpatient and inpatient settings. You will support ART optimisation, participate in MDT discussions, and drive medicines governance while maintaining general pharmacy activities one day a week.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with vocational master’s degree and GPhC registration.
• Prescriber qualification or in training to obtain it.
• Postgraduate clinical pharmacy qualifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver a specialist HIV clinical pharmacy service.
• Provide expert ART advice including complex regimens and interactions.
• Deliver clinic-based pharmacy services and patient counselling.
• Support MDT discussions and wider HIV service development.
• Provide education and training within the MDT.
