Job summary

M Group is seeking a Commercial/Finance analytics professional to support our water and infrastructure projects in the Preston area. You will develop decision-support models and reports for senior management, own value reporting, and help streamline forecasting, budgeting and risk assessment processes.

The role involves continuous improvement of reporting tools and analytics to drive better outcomes across large capital programmes and client delivery teams.

Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?

You’ll drive commercial performance by developing advanced decision-support models and creating insightful reports for senior management. You’ll take ownership of value reporting, automate and streamline key processes, and identify margin improvement opportunities.

You’ll play a crucial role in forecasting and budgeting, evaluating strategic initiatives, and assessing risks and opportunities to optimise business outcomes. Championing a culture of continuous improvement, you’ll enhance our reporting tools and analytical processes.
