Job summary

Cardiff Council invites applications for a Senior HR People Partner to lead a high-quality HR service for School and Corporate Education. You will provide expert advice on complex HR matters, including restructures and TUPE, while working with senior managers and unions to deliver strategic HR plans.

Reporting to the Senior People Partner, you will shape HR policies, foster strong stakeholder relationships, and support wider HR projects within a diverse education landscape.

Qualifications

• Experienced HR professional who can operate confidently both operationally and strategically within a large and complex organisation.
• Experience of working with Senior Managers and trade unions along with knowledge of employment law, HR policies and procedures and implementing best practice.
• A confident communicator, you will build effective professional relationships quickly and be able to navigate complex issues with clarity, sound judgement and a solutions-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team delivering high-quality HR People Partner service for Schools and Corporate Education services.
• Provide expert advice on complex HR matters such as restructures, employment tribunal casework, escalated employee relations issues and TUPE.
• Support delivery of wider HR projects and initiatives.
• Build relationships with trade unions, Governing Bodies and stakeholders.
