Job summary

Cardiff Council is seeking a senior professional in Education & Lifelong Learning to lead the development and delivery of complex school organisation proposals, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies and procedures.

The post holder will manage stakeholder engagement, consultations and communications with schools, communities, elected members and partner organisations to support successful outcomes and robust business cases.

Qualifications

• Qualified and experienced professional with a strong track record of delivering high-quality education services.
• Experience leading complex projects and developing strategic proposals.
• Strong knowledge of education legislation and policy in Wales.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of complex school organisation proposals.
• Manage stakeholder engagement, consultations and communications.
• Provide strategic advice and oversee statutory processes.
• Plan nursery education places across Cardiff with providers.
• Deputise for the School Organisation Programme Planning Manager when required.
