Job summary

Ishida Europe Limited is seeking an experienced Senior People Advisor to join our People team in Birmingham. You will manage a varied employee relations caseload, advising managers and guiding investigations to resolution.

You will handle grievances, disciplinary matters, capability, absence and workforce change, ensuring fair treatment, confidentiality and compliance with UK law. Strong stakeholder engagement and EDI alignment are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HR professional with a strong employee relations background.
• Solid understanding of UK employment legislation and practical application.
• Experience working with employee representatives or employee voice arrangements.
• Excellent investigation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing a complex employee relations caseload from assessment to resolution.
• Advising and coaching managers on sensitive people matters with clear options.
• Leading workplace investigations with fairness and confidentiality.
• Supporting grievance, disciplinary, capability, absence and performance processes.
• Providing practical advice on employment law and company policies.
• Engaging with employee voice forums and representatives for constructive consultation.
• Contributing to organisational change including restructures and workforce planning.
• Promoting fairness, inclusion and equality in people practices.
• Identifying themes across casework to improve policies and colleague experience.
• Building trusted relationships with colleagues and managers through approachable support.
• Travelling to Poole site when required to provide hands-on support.
