Job summary

Spence in Glasgow is seeking a Senior Pensions Administrator to join the Pensions Delivery - MOJ team. You will manage day-to-day Defined Benefit pension administration, ensuring accurate benefits and timely service for trustees and members.

You will apply specialist knowledge of UK pensions legislation, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to client proposals. The role is permanent, full-time and based in Glasgow.

Qualifications

• Extensive DB pension administration experience.
• Broad knowledge of UK pension legislation and codes.
• Experience with complex benefit calculations.
• Ability to review junior colleagues' work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day DB pension administration.
• Act as main contact for members, trustees, and advisers.
• Perform and check complex benefit calculations.
• Review and mentor junior colleagues.
• Ensure tasks meet service standards.
• Support scheme wind-ups and GMP reconciliations.
• Contribute technical input for proposals and client pitches.
• Identify process improvements and drive efficiencies.
