Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join the Children and Family Health Devon service." You will oversee a complex caseload of children with speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs, providing supervision to less experienced therapists and coordinating clinical activity with the team.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy, or equivalent.
• Full HCPC registration required.
• Registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
• Post-qualification experience managing a complex caseload in community settings.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children and young people with complex SLT and eating, drinking and swallowing needs.
• Provide clinical supervision to less experienced SLT colleagues.
• Coordinate clinic and day-to-day caseload with Clinical Team Manager and student placements.
• Lead audits and outcome monitoring within the locality.
• Deliver strengths-based, goal-based practice using routine outcome measures.
• Promote service user participation and engagement across the team.
• Participate in clinical audits and research; maintain HCPC and RCSLT registration.
