Job summary

Devon Partnership NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist (Band 7) to provide specialist assessment and intervention for children and young people in community settings. You will manage a complex caseload, advise and train other SLTs on designated pathways, and contribute to governance and service development.

With HCPC registration and advanced clinical experience, you will work across neurodiversity, vulnerable children and related pathways, with substantial community

Qualifications

• Advanced SLT assessment and treatment skills
• In-depth knowledge of child development and SEND
• Knowledge of clinical governance and guidelines
• Strong communication and training abilities

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist SLT assessment, advice and intervention to children and young people, handling a complex caseload
• Case manage children with highly complex long-term conditions
• Support SLTs across designated care pathways such as neurodiversity and vulnerable children
• Act as a source of SLT expertise, training and guidance on specialist assessment and intervention
• Screen and triage referrals and evaluate interventions for complex care packages
• Contribute to risk assessment and care planning with children, young people and carers
