Job summary

iMultiply in Grangemouth, Scotland, seeks an experienced payroll professional to take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing for multiple SME clients across the UK. The role focuses on accuracy, compliance with RTI, pension auto-enrolment, and proactive process improvement.

You will work with UK payroll technologies such as IRIS Payroll Professional or BrightPay, manage weekly to monthly cycles, and liaise with clients, HMRC, and pension providers, ensuring deadlines and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Over 3 years' payroll experience within the UK SME sector.
• Strong knowledge of RTI, statutory payments, and pension auto-enrolment.
• Proficiency with payroll systems such as IRIS Payroll Professional or BrightPay.
• Excellent Excel skills and understanding of payroll reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, HMRC, and pension providers.

Responsibilities

• Process payrolls on weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly, and monthly cycles accurately and on time.
• Manage statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, SPP, and SAP.
• Oversee pension auto-enrolment duties and submit pension contributions.
• Prepare and submit RTI returns and support year-end payroll procedures.
• Liaise with clients, HMRC, and pension providers to resolve payroll queries swiftly.
• Ensure payroll activities remain compliant with UK legislation and updating standards.
• Review payroll data, identifying errors and ensuring high standards of accuracy.
• Adopt digital systems, payroll automation, and suggest process improvements.
• Support colleagues, share knowledge, and contribute to departmental efficiencies.
