Job summary

Agincare is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead a team of eight, handling payroll for nearly 6,000 colleagues across Portland and Poole. The role focuses on accuracy, timeliness and regulatory compliance, with emphasis on NMW and UKVI requirements.

You will partner with Finance, HR and Operations to optimise processes and payroll systems. Key responsibilities include system integrity for IRIS Staffology, integration projects with payroll and finance platforms, and managing

Qualifications

• Lead end-to-end payroll operations with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Qualified in Payroll, Accounting or an equivalent discipline, or demonstrate equivalent experience.
• Experience managing a payroll team and working across HR, Finance and Operations.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and regulatory requirements, including NMW/UKVI.

Responsibilities

• Lead a payroll team of eight across Portland and Poole, ensuring accuracy and on-time processing.
• Collaborate with Operational, Finance, HR and Recruitment to improve payroll controls.
• Oversee IRIS Staffology and maintain system integrity; drive system integrations with payroll, workforce management and finance platforms.
• Liaise with HMRC, pension providers and external bodies; manage ONS reporting requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement and identify training opportunities for the team.
