Job summary

Marks Sattin Ltd is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our busy payroll bureau team in the UK. You will manage multiple client payrolls, ensuring accurate and timely payments while remaining compliant with payroll legislation.

The role requires strong knowledge of HMRC rules and statutory payments, experience with Sage Payroll or BrightPay, and excellent numerical accuracy. Hybrid working options are available along with ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications

• Previous payroll experience, ideally within a payroll bureau environment.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for multiple clients.
• Calculate salaries, statutory payments, deductions and pension contributions.
• Manage payroll changes including starters, leavers, pay increases and employee amendments.
• Submit payroll information to HMRC through RTI.
• Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and company procedures.
• Handle client payroll queries and provide excellent customer service.
• Process year-end payroll activities including P60s and P11Ds where required.
• Reconcile payroll reports and maintain accurate payroll records.
• Support pension administration and auto-enrolment processes.
