Commercial Ltd, a modern accountancy practice in Northamptonshire, is seeking an experienced Payroll professional to join our growing team. You will manage end-to-end payrolls for a diverse client base, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance across weekly to monthly cycles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' payroll experience
• Experience managing multiple client payrolls
• Strong knowledge of PAYE, RTI, NIC and statutory payments
• Confident using payroll software such as BrightPay, Sage or Xero Payroll
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to meet strict payroll deadlines
• Professional and confident client communication
• Discretion with confidential information
• Collaborative, client-focused teamwork

Responsibilities

• Process payrolls weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly for multiple clients
• Manage payrolls end-to-end with accuracy
• Calculate starters, leavers, overtime, bonuses and deductions
• Process statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, ShPP)
• Produce payslips, payroll reports and payment summaries
• Submit FPS and EPS to HMRC
• Manage auto-enrolment duties and contributions uploads
• Handle tax code changes and student loans
• Prepare year-end payroll documentation (P45s, P60s)
• Onboard new payroll clients and new employees
• Liaise with HMRC and pension providers as needed
• Meet payroll deadlines and support colleagues during busy periods
