Job summary

Portfolio Payroll is partnering with a well-established accountancy practice to recruit an experienced Payroll Specialist. You will own a portfolio of client payrolls, delivering accurate end-to-end payroll processing and maintaining strong client relationships.

This role involves handling weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls, RTI submissions, year-end processes, and responding to client payroll queries. A collaborative team environment and clear progression opportunities are on offer.

Qualifications

• Experience in end-to-end payroll processing, ideally in an accountancy practice, bureau, or multi-client setup.
• Proven ability to work directly with clients and manage workload with accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliant payroll processing.

Responsibilities

• Managing end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of clients.
• Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls.
• Calculating and processing PAYE, NI, statutory payments and deductions.
• Managing starters, leavers and employee changes.
• Processing SSP, SMP, SPP and other statutory payments.
• Completing payroll reconciliations and ensuring accurate payroll records.
• Preparing and submitting RTI/FPS/EPS submissions.
• Dealing with year-end payroll processes, including P60s.
