The role emphasizes hands-on technical payroll knowledge, managing deadlines, supporting colleagues, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and service. Prior supervision experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior payroll role.
• Experience managing a multi-payroll function.
• UK payroll legislation and tax knowledge.
• Experience supervising staff and reviewing payroll work.
• Payrite experience desirable, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of end-to-end delivery of multiple payrolls.
• Ensure payrolls processed accurately within deadlines.
• Oversee benefits in kind and tax applications.
• Complete manual calculations and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage year-end activities and statutory requirements.
• Stay updated with payroll legislation changes.
• Guide and support payroll team.
• Maintain strong payroll controls and documentation.
